The Moviflor sent an ‘email’ to workers report that will temporarily close stores from 1 October, said today Lusa Marisa Ribeiro, of the Union of Commerce, Offices and Services of Portugal (CESP).
“We received information that employees From 1 October all stores will be temporarily closed, “said the union, adding that is trying to get more details about it.
” The workers are concerned about their situation, “he said, recalling that the Special Recovery Plan (PER) “is not being fulfilled.”
Last July, the union had denounced the failure of the PER, a situation “which remains”, since workers do not receive wages or previous debts.
“Neither the first installment” payment that was due in PER said. “It is unfortunate the PER is not being met,” he said.
The PER approved by the Commercial Court of Lisbon on December 17, 2013 provided for the recovery of Moviflor and regular payment of wages, which , according to the CESP has not been happening.
In addition to the collective redundancy that already included 200 workers, the PER provides output over 325 company employees of furniture.
