Economy should grow 2.9% in 2015 – The Ball

Greece’s economy is expected to grow 2.9% in 2015, said today Deputy Minister of Local Finance, Christos Staïkouras in the presentation of the draft state budget for next year.

Staïkouras stressed that the economy will recover this year, rising 0.6%, after six years of recession.
The proposed budget was approved by the troika of creditors of Greece, whose representatives started the week last regular audit the accounts of the country.

The document also states that the Greek economy achieves a primary surplus (excluding debt) of 2.9% of GDP next year.

The representatives of the troika are in Athens to decide on the final tranche of European loan to that country, which should be granted until the end of the year, although IMF assistance should continue until spring 2016
