Poiares Maduro away differences and warrant 'common position' on … – The Ball

The and Regional Development Deputy Minister, Miguel Poiares Maduro, departed this Monday the existence of any divergence in the coalition parties, ensuring that the Government has a ‘common position’ with regard to taxes.

“If I say – as is the Government’s position – we all recognize that the tax burden is high, we would like to decrease, but this depends on the margin we have in budgetary terms; is no different from saying exactly the same, starting with reference to budget constraints and we have to be within these constraints that we will seek to try to reduce the margin tax, “said the ex-ruler of the Standing Committee for Social Dialogue meeting.

In this regard, Poiares Maduro declined to talk about differences between PSD and CDS, considering that it is mere “speculation” into “issues of differences in tone and emphasis.” The minister also stressed the statements of the head of government, Pedro Passos Coelho, recalling that the reduction of the tax burden “will depend on the fiscal space ‘.
