The National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel (SNPVAC) returned on Saturday Unions Platform TAP, for having “a certainty against privatization” of the 12 structures represented, told Lusa the Director of SNPVAC, Nuno Fonseca.

SNPVAC had left in the Tuesday Unions Platform TAP to have disagreed with the document that this structure gave the Government and that “opened the door” to the privatization of the carrier.

Today, four days later, the platform announced in a statement that reunites 12 unions, integrating the flight crew, “a convergence signal against this privatization model expected to TAP.”

Contacted by Lusa, Nuno Fonseca explained that now “the conditions are [between 12 platform structures] to stop this privatization process”: “There was a change in the document and there is a certainty against privatization”

.

The platform representing workers TAP convened a four-day strike, between 27 and 30, following the refusal of the Government to suspend the privatization of the company.

On Thursday, the government approved a civil request TAP covering about 70% of the group’s employees, allowing to perform all flights scheduled for the four days of the strike.

On Tuesday, the President of SNPVAC, Rui de Carvalho, resigned by disagreements with other direction to abandon the union platform TAP.

Rui de Carvalho was replaced as president by Luciana Step.
