Cavaco admits that strike the TAP could lead to redundancies – Digital Journal



The President admitted today that the strike ten days of the pilots of TAP could result the dismissal of workers, recalling similar situations in other European airlines.

“God grant that TAP does not happen what happened in other European Union countries, in which the airlines were forced to carry very significant redundancies and cutting back on routes. But the information that I have at this point, I begin to fear that something similar might happen in TAP, “said the Head of State, Aníbal Cavaco Silva.

The President was speaking to journalists at the end a visit to the Joint Command for Military Operations (CCOM), the General Staff of the organ of the Portuguese Armed Forces, in Oeiras
