Petroleum put forward process to catch simple fuel – publico

                 


                         
                     

                 

 
                         

Galp, BP, Repsol and the Portuguese Association of Oil Companies (APETRO), came forward with a lawsuit to suspend the law that requires them to provide the additives without fuel in its distribution network, advances the Economic Daily on the issue on Thursday.

                     


                         The process was received on 7 April, the Administrative Court of Lisbon, and included an injunction to halt the process, but the judge rejected that possibility precedent.

The obligation to provide simple fuel in the oil network took off on April 17.

The process put in court, according to the Economic Daily , is based “on the right of the oil can freely choose the products they sell and fix the contractual content between wholesalers and retailers. “

The lawsuit is filed against the National Authority for the Fuel Market, which has the responsibility to ensure the implementation of the new law, and municipalities, which is responsible for licensing and imposition of fines.

The availability of simple fuels has generated strong defense of oil, which had cost to adapt the stations to the new legislation, which have held that the measure will not bring the cheapest prices.

The measure is advocated by the National Association of Fuel Dealers, representing retail businesses in addition to oil, is hopeful. “Our goal is to divert the fuel of hypermarkets for the posts.”
