The passage of electronic receipts for rents shall enter into force next week (May 1). And this situation is ‘launch confusion’ between landlords.

From next month, landlords who receive income more than 838.44 euros per year are required to pass receipts issued through the portal of Finance.

In this obligation are exempt rural leases, landlords from 65 years of age and those who earn lower monthly rental for 70 euros (these will only have to deliver an annual statement by the end of January of the following year)

As for the electronic receipts, the legislation provides for the possibility of landlords authorize third parties to fulfill these obligations.

According to the ‘public’ newspaper, the National Association of Owners (ANP) will ask the unconstitutionality of this law, claiming that it is discriminatory.

Speaking to the same newspaper, the president of the ANP, Frias Antonio Marques, explains that ‘the application of unconstitutionality which is preparing, is based on discrimination of citizens, adding that there are many owners with less 65 who are not familiar with electronic media, or have available means, while others with more than 65 years may be able to do so. ”

But the Government ensures that the ordinance is legally.
