PJ seizes two suitcases at Lisbon airport with a million … – Daily News – Lisbon

The Judicial Police seized at Lisbon airport, two suitcases containing about one million euros and 3.5 million yuan (Chinese currency, worth about 500,000 euros) in bundles of notes involved in cellophane, reported Monday the police.

The money was in the possession of a woman and a man with 22 to 47 years, who were preparing to board with the Shanghai destination.

The suspects of the practice of money laundering, which have residence visas in Portugal, were made defendants, continuing the investigation to complete establishment of the facts.

The research is directed by the Department of Research and Penal Action (DIAP) in Lisbon in conjunction with the National Anti-Corruption Unit of the Judicial Police.
