Endesa increases profits by 17% in the first half – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

Endesa ended the first half of the year with a profit of 870 million euros, which corresponds to an increase of 17% over the same period, revealed on Tuesday the power.

Endesa closed the first half with a net profit of 870 million euros, 17.1% more than in the first six months of last year, revealed this Tuesday, July 28, the company in a statement.

Despite the annual comparison is the fact that last year Endesa has recorded in its accounts the sale of Enersis to Enel. And indeed, the results from continuing activities before taxes increased 56.6%.

Sales of Endesa rose 1.5% to 9.78 billion euros. While EBITDA increased 16% to 1.9 billion euros.

Endesa has reduced net debt by 8% to 4.99 billion euros.

The shares of Endesa are rising 3.27% to 18.80 euros.
