                         International folklore festival invades the streets (photos) – Is officially open the 17th International Folklore Festival. The event, which will take place a little for all the historic downtown streets of the city and also in Central Avenue, will surely brighten and color the weekend all Braga.
 
 Expectations for this year’s festival are very high, since the Braga Municipal Council convened groups around the world to participate in this mega festival. Various parts of the world will be well represented, such as Cyprus, France, Poland, India, Slovakia, Serbia, Argentina, Spain and of course Portugal.
 
 The opening ceremony took place yesterday, with an ethnographic procession that delighted and surprised everyone who walked through the city center of the archbishops. The main face of the organization of this festival is Lydia Dias, councilor of the Braga Municipality culture, which emphasized the importance of the folk festival in the region. “It is a unique opportunity for everyone to enrich a little more culturally.
 
 People will be able to see the different ways of dressing, singing and dancing that exist throughout the world. I am sure it is an event that will gladden the end-of-week of the city “, pointed out, adding that this year will be several surprises. “The International Folklore Festival has a tradition in our city, we know we must always enrich, make it even more appealing and beneficial in the Minho and also for the thousands of tourists who come to visit us,” he explained.
 
 Yesterday was also marked by the opening of the ethnographic exhibition “We for Love”, in the House of Riddles, which was organized by the Cultural Association and Festival of the Cathedral bells, and the opening of the concert was out of the Folkloric Group Dr. Gonçalo Sampaio. The festival continues this evening and ends at 19 o’clock tomorrow.
 
 Admission is free and all are thus invited to Braga during the weekend to sing and dance with these groups, and the willingness the most important element that everyone should carry.
