PJ makes searches of 18 suspects restaurants omit billing – Daily News – Lisbon

The MP is investigating suspected of the crimes of tax fraud, tax fraud and computer false

prosecutors, the PJ and the Tax Authority yesterday raided 18 restaurants, on suspicion of using computer software that allows owners omit billing values.

The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) explains, in a statement, which in total were held 20 non-house searches, 18 of them to restaurants located in areas of Lisbon, Porto, Aveiro and Faro.

The prosecutor’s office in research in the Central Department of Investigation and Action Criminal (DCIAP), is investigating suspected of the crimes of tax fraud, tax fraud and computer falsehood.

“This will involve a loss for the corresponding state the amount of VAT charged to customers (when they not request the invoice issue), but not declared for tax purposes by traders. Also took place searched the company that produces the software in question, “the statement added.

In this operation, the prosecutor was assisted by 50 members of the Judicial Police and 22 members of the Tax Authority.
