Suzuki also manipulated vehicle efficiency tests – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

Suzuki used methods inappropriate to test the efficiency of their vehicles. The information has been confirmed by the company this Wednesday, May 17, after they appeared the first reports in the Japanese press.

To this day was scheduled a meeting between the president of the company car, Osamu Suzuki (pictured), and the Japanese Minister of Transport as well as a press conference.

Suzuki admits having used different tests required by the government but discards the scenario of “manipulation”. Another guarantee is that the data on the efficiency of vehicles need not be changed.

About two million cars, a total of 16 models since 2010, were affected by the “discrepancies “found. All vehicles were sold in Japan.
