Brussels applies historic fine to truck manufacturers – Jornal de Negócios – Portugal

Volvo / Renault, Daimler, Iveco and DAF were condemned by the European Commission for infringement of competition rules. The fine is historic, amounts to almost EUR 3 billion, and leaves out the company that reported the case.

Second a press statement released this Tuesday, July 19, the European Commission, five companies are accused of over 14 years, have combined with each other truck sales prices on the market, the time when each companies introduce technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and pass to consumers the cost of these new technologies.
